After I gained access to a south facing window I admittedly went a little crazy with the plants. Is this too much?

It’s not enough. There’s daylight being wasted!

  2. You need to hang brackets or a plant bar to use up all that vertical space! Looks great though OP

You have great light. My light now sucks. I really miss my jungle. It’s addicting but in a good way. Welcome 😆😆

Don’t feel bad, I moved to a new apartment without a south or west facing window, but it had better lighting than my last apartment. I’m afraid to say the amount of plants I have. I almost bought another today at Whole Foods and walked out, but really think I’m gonna go back and grab it ha ha. It was a mature big one and it was $19, it’ll be fine.

  5. What’s that plant on the top shelf of the second pic? Sooo pretty I need!!

I finally got the courage to count my plants last night… the final tally is 198, so no I don’t think yours are too much 🤣

I’d like to disagree, but if any store has a plant section, I leave with something. Even if it is near death. 😭

  8. In your west facing photo, the second shelf on the left – is that an alocasia? I’d love to know more details, it’s gorgeous!

It’s a great addiction. Welcome to the jungle!

I dream of window lighting such as this! I have made it one of my top five requirements for when I buy my first home. Right up there with two full baths and a fenced yard (also with plants in mind lol)

Yes, the acquiring does give one a rush. But after the acquiring, I find myself tonight spending a couple hours watering all of my plants with mosquito bits soaked in water, so I could hopefully get rid of the growing gnat problems.

It looks like the perfect amount. Let it mellow for a bit, because you’ve go quite a few things that are going to get very big! This room looks nice and cozy.

You can plant two units (or more) of the same plant in the same pot and you get more room for other plants. 😉 I would attach trellis or pipe to the roof and get more plants in hanging baskets.

Honestly, that’s really not over the top at all, especially in that lovely space! It’s great until it becomes a compulsion to get one more plant *just* because you have room for it. But we all have our level of comfort and enjoyment when it comes to how many plants we can care for at a time. When it stops being fun, you know you’ve gone too far!
